Nigeria: ACF Urges Peaceful Campaigns

Kaduna — The Kaduna State chapter of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has urged political parties and their supporters to conduct peaceful campaigns ahead of the coming elections. The Forum's political and peace committee yesterday held an interactive meeting with party leaders, pressure groups and religious leaders in Kaduna.

Chairman of the committee Lawal Umar Meyere said politicians must abide by electoral rules and abstain from provocative statements during political campaigns. He implored politicians to be tolerant and said Forum will resist any attempt to rig the elections.
