Dar es Salaam — Tanzania National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) recently revealed that the inflation rate fell for the fourth consecutive month to 4.8% in December 2014 compared to 5.8% recorded in November as food prices slowed in the month.
The decrease of the inflation rate for the year ending December 2014 clarifies that the speed of price increase for commodities coupled with bumper harvests for the last season has been the main attribute to the decrease of inflation as compared to the speed of increase for the year ended November.
