Gambia: Saloon Proprietress Urges Youths to Learn Skills

The proprietress of M. Jallow Hairdressing, Beauty Salon and Skills Centre in Brikama, has challenged the youths, particularly the young ladies, to take skills learning with seriousness.

Mariama M Jallow made this remark last Tuesday in an exclusive interview with the Daily Observer, at her office in Brikama. She said people with skills never wait for anyone in terms of employment, adding that skills such as hairdressing and cosmetology bring lucrative opportunities. Jallow recalled that few years ago, she started the school with support from her family and since then, the institution has changed the lives of many young ladies, who passed through it.
