South Africa: Dagga Stealing Cops Out On Bail

The two police officers who were arrested for corruption and possession of dagga have been granted a R2000-00 bail each when they appeared before the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Sergeant Donovan Pope (39), who is attached to Faure Public Order Policing (POP) and Constable Craig Jodamus (29), a crime prevention official at Grassypark police station in the Western Cape were arrested on Wednesday after they allegedly received a R200-00 bribe from the suspect they had arrested as well as concealing 20 dagga plants which they had seized from the same suspect in Wynberg, Cape Town.
