Sudan: Security Detains, Tortures Men in Central Darfur

Zalingei — Security agents detained a teacher of a secondary school in Golo, Central Darfur, at the gates of the hospital in Zalingei on Wednesday. Another person was taken by armed men and tortured for several hours.

A witness said that teacher Maki Mohamed Rajab came to Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur, about a week ago, to pursue a M.A. related course at the University of Zalingei. Security personnel detained him near the hospital and have taken him to an unknown destination.
