Liberia: Revisit School Reopening - Weah Wants Extention Return

Monrovia — Liberia's national legislature has issued a three-page report calling for the postponement of the date of reopening of schools. The legislature also has come up with some recommendations that include schools not be allowed to have on their information sheets fees attached to acquiring Ebola related materials. The august body sated that the Ministry of Education must sanction violators administratively.

As part of its findings, the committee said during a closed door hearing with the authorities of the Health and Education Ministries represented by Minister Etmonia Tarpeh and Matthew Flomo, it observed that Ebola measures are still not in place. The committee stated that they are not sure that Temperature check devices in the country would be distributed before February 2nd the date set for the reopening of schools.
