Malawi: First Lady Calls for Increased Political Will in Aids Fight

Malawi First Lady, Madamme Gertrude Mutharika has said the fight for an HIV free generation in Africa can only be achieved if the AU member state leaders deliberately put the fight against HIV as part of their political agendas.

Madamme Mutharika said this on Saturday when she joined her fellow first ladies in the Organization of African First Ladies (OAFLA) grouping in a session at AU old building premises in Addis Ababa where the First Ladies met, shared and made resolutions in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Africa.
