Nigeria: Four in Court to Stop Elections

The plot to stop the February elections on Monday thickened as a Federal High court in Abuja has been asked to bar the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from going ahead with the polls slated for February 14 and 28.

The plaintiffs in the suit, Asogo Torkuma Venatius, Ola Solomon Oluwasanmi, Sunday Attah and Philip Agbese, in suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/DW/2015 are seeking the order of the court to postpone the elections until all eligible voters have collected their Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs).
