Kenya: Irony of Jailed Mandera Quarry Workers and Teachers' Plight

The paradox surrounding the jailing of quarry miners in Mandera has emboldened defiant teachers to boycott work unless transferred.

Twenty workers from a quarry in Mandera were sentenced to six months imprisonment each or pay a Sh60,000 fine for disobeying an order to leave their workplace due to insecurity.
