Nigeria: Miners Call for Establishment of Mining Devt Bank

The umbrella body of solid mineral miners in the country, Miners Association of Nigeria (MAN), has appealed to the Federal Government to do more towards developing solid mineral mining, especially as earnings from oil are fast decreasing.

He said: "We ask that there should be a development bank, not commercial bank because commercial banks are yet to understand us. Government should establish a Mining Development Bank to identify the needs of miners and work at meeting such needs."
