Carthage — Tunisia is « a very important country for Germany », according to chairwoman of Friendship parliamentary group with Arab Maghreb countries in Bundestag (lower house of the German parliament) Gabriela Heinrich.
Germany « follows with great interest the democratic developments in Tunisia, » she added in a statement to the press after a talk with President Béji Caid Essebsi, who received her, Friday in the Carthage palace, with the other members of the German parliamentary delegation.
