Nigeria: Selma - Message for the Masses, Movie for the Rich

Last Sunday, the award-winning movie, Selma, was premiered in Nigeria. The movie, which chronicles the life of American activist, Dr. Martin Luther King (Jnr), was shown at the House on The Rock Cathedral in Lagos. It is a story about Dr. King's struggle against racism and inequality.

Selma, a 2014 American historical drama film directed by Ava DuVernay and written by Paul Webb and Ava DuVernay, features British-born Nigerian international movie star, David Oyelowo, who was also at the event himself. The movie was brought to Nigeria by House on The Rock Church, in partnership with the Embassy of the United States of America.
