Liberia: MRU Heads of State and Government Target 'zero Ebola Infection' in 60 Days - President Sirleaf to Serve As MRU Spokesperson At the EU Ebola Conference in Brussels On March 3rd, 2015

Mano River Union (MRU) Heads of State and Government have committed themselves to achieving "Zero Ebola Infection" within the next 60 days beginning Sunday, February 15, 2015. However, they appealed to the International Community to provide all necessary support to achieve this objective.

According to a Dispatch from Conakry, Guinea, the commitment was contained in a Declaration of MRU Heads of State and Government on the Eradication of Ebola and Post-Ebola Socio-Economic Recovery, during an Extraordinary Session to adopt common strategies to end the Ebola virus disease epidemic in the sub-region, and address the post-Ebola socio-economic development recovery needs.
