Zimbabwe: Mufundisi Promises Fireworks

IFK branch chief Tawanda Mufundisi has promised fireworks when they take part in the So-Kyokushin karate senior men and women Senshuken Taikai tournament today at the Dutch Reformed Church in Highfield. The tournament is being hosted by the Zimbabwe So-Kyokushin Karate-Do Organisation and will see athletes from various full-contact styles, including IFK, Shukokai, Shukokai ryu, Ashihara and Kyokushin-kan battling it out in the women open, lightweight (Under-67kg) and the Open category which is over 67,5kg. Mufundisi said they are fielding 10 fighters in today's event and is confident his students will come out tops.

"We are fielding 10 athletes -- nine men and one woman. We got the calendar early and we knew about this tournament so our preparations were intense.
