Malawi: ARV Shortages Hit Hospitals

The lifelong sustaining drug, Anti Retro Viral (ARV) drugs given to people living with HIV/AIDS in Malawi has become scarce in the country's hospitals putting at risk lives of millions of people.

A visit to Chiradzulu district hospital by Malawi24 found out that drug store hospital is empty. This problem has hit the country for the past week. A close source to Malawi24 cited the problem as due to drug shortage from the Central Medical Stores (CMS). The source revealed the problem to have hit other District Hospitals including Health Centre.
