Trading at the Nairobi Securities Exchange continued uninterrupted on Friday after the capital markets regulator intervened late on Thursday, warning stockbrokers against halting business at the bourse.
Stockbrokers had earlier threatened to stop equities trading for a month pending a solution to the ongoing impasse between market intermediaries and the taxman over the newly reintroduced capital gains tax.
