Mauritius: PM Calls Upon Planting Community to Adapt to New Challenges Facing Agriculture

The Prime Minister, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, called upon the planting community to adapt to new challenges facing agriculture whereby more and more production is needed on lesser extent of lands in a context where the concern for environmental protection is growing day by day worldwide.

He was addressing the planting community on 23 February at the inauguration of a Bio-Fertiliser Plant set up by the Mauritius Cooperative Agricultural Federation and the. Mauritius Chemical Fertilizer Industry (MCFI) in collaboration with the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Ltd at the MCFI Ltd, Fort George, in Port Louis.
