Namibia: Major Investment in New Luderitz Accommodation

Henry John Meintjies, who originally hails from Mariental and is currently based in the harbour town of Luderitz, recently opened a comfortable guest house named Haus Henry, which constitutes an investment of about N$2.1 million that included the purchase price of the property as well as renovations and new equipment.

During the inauguration of his guest house on Saturday February, 21 2015, Henry explained how he came up with the idea of the business. He said he visited Luderitz for 12 years since 2001 and at times he would struggle to find accommodation in Luderitz. "Sometimes the accommodation was not very comfortable or the atmosphere was not friendly", Henry stated.
