Nigeria: Akpabio Assures Non-Indigenes of Safety

Uyo — Barely few weeks to the 2015 general election, wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, has advissed non-indigenes in the state to participate fully in the electoral process as adequate measures had been put in place by government and security agencies to guarantee their safety.

Non-indegenes, Akpabio said, are protected by the constitution which guarantees every Nigerian the right to live and earn a living in any part of the country, while advising non-indigenes to report any case of harassment, especially during the forthcoming elections to the police or other law enforcement agencies.
