South Africa: Fly Africa Enters Byo-Joburg Route

Fly Africa, a new budget airline, will next month start plying the Bulawayo-Johannesburg route, in a development that will pose stiff competition for Air Zimbabwe and South African Airways (SAA) which have already been flying that route at much higher fares.

SAA has daily Bulawayo-Johannesburg flights; while Air Zimbabwe flies the route three times a week. Significantly much cheaper than the current competition, Fly Africa's Bulawayo-Johannesburg daily flights will cost US$178 return compared to SAA's US$760 and Air Zimbabwe's US$380 for the same route.
