Angola: Biological Hazards in Production Chain Pose Risks for Food Industry

Benguela — The biohazard alongside the physical and chemical danger, is one of the biggest risks that facing the food industry and consequently the consumer in the supply chain, due to the difficult detection of microorganisms, Friday pointed beverage industry bodies in coastal Benguela province who are attending a training on hygiene and food security.

According to the interlocutors, who was speaking to ANGOP in the framework of the training that is being promoted by Inadec, in partnership with Esaqualis Angola, for the workers of Coca Cola and Soba Catumbela (both manufacturers of beverages) may be easier to detect physical and chemical hazards in food and drinks through touch, sight and smell, without the use of any instrument.
