Tunisia: Essebsi Takes Note of Unft Financial Hardship

Tunis — The financial hardship of the National Union of Tunisian Women (UNFT) and their repercussions on the activity of this organisation on the local, regional and international level were the focus of the audience that President Béji Caid Essebsi granted, Friday, to UNFT president Radhia Jerbi.

Joined by telephone, UNFT president told TAP, that the meeting was the occasion to evoke « the difficult situation of the UNFT because of the non-payment of the wages of the employees during the last three years, following the blocking of the subsidy allocated to the women's organisation since 1956 ».
