Egypt: Scia Conference Outlines Scientific, Legal Concepts of Thorny Issues - Minister

Awqaf Minister Mokhtar Gomaa said that the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs conference, which kicked off in Cairo on Saturday 28/2/2015, will outline the scientific and legal concepts of many thorny issues including succession in Islam, Islamic regime, and Jizya (a tax that earlier Muslim rulers imposed upon non-Muslims in return for military exemption, protection against persecution and considerable religious freedoms).

He said that the Takfiri groups falsely apply certain concepts to cover up their criminal acts.
