Nigeria: Four Killed As Troops, Insurgents Clashed At Borno Village

Maiduguri — TROOPS of 7 Division of the Nigerian Army in Borno State at the weekend clashed with Boko Haram gunmen near Mainok village market in which four persons suspected to be members of the terror group and a soldier were killed. The incident occurred while soldiers from the 7 Division were patrolling the 132-kilometre Maiduguri-Damaturu Road.

Members of the insurgent group have on many occasions attacked Mainok, a farming community. The village lies 58 kilometres west of Maiduguri, the epicentre of insurgency.
