Nigeria: 8,000 Displaced By Disasters in 2 Months - -NEMA

Lagos — The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) said 8,046 persons were displaced by disasters in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States between January and February 2015.

Majority of the victims were displaced by fire and windstorm, said Ibrahim Farinloye, NEMA's spokesman in the South West. He said in a statement issued at the weekend that out of the 8,046 cases recorded, Lagos alone had 1,064.
