Zimbabwe: Unlicensed Driver Hits, Kills Pedestrian

An unlicensed driver has appeared in court for allegedly knocking down a pedestrian who was walking on the side of the road, killing him on the spot. Kumbirayi Zowa (28) of Number 14530 Hatcliffe, Harare, appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe yesterday facing charges of driving without a driver's licence, failing to stop after an accident and culpable homicide.

He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court and is expected back in court on March 16.
