Nigeria: No Plan to Disenfranchise Any Voter - INEC

Jos — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said yesterday that it is working hard to ensure that every voter gets his or her permanent voters card before the elections, contrary to allegations in some quarters that there is a plan to deprive some voters of their cards.

Deputy Director in charge of Civic Education of the Commission in Plateau State, Osarehin Imahiyereobo, in an interview during a peace meeting organized by a non governmental organization, Search for Common Ground (SFCG) in conjunction with the Plateau State government, said though some people were yet to receive their voters cards, there is no cause for alarm.
