Nigeria: Synagogue - Court Adjourns Ruling On Coroner's Jurisdiction Till March 6

Justice Lateefa Okunnu of an Ikeja High Court, on Tuesday, adjourned the ruling on an application filed by the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) against the Coroner's Inquest investigating the collapse of a six-storey building belonging to the church till March 6.

The judge had fixed Tuesday to rule on the application but at the resumption of proceedings, she informed the parties of the need to first determine whether the coroner was a "juristic person" (can be sued or can sue) before the court delivers its ruling.
