Five of the ten individuals indicted for criminal conspiracy, economic sabotage and bribery who recently filed a bond before Criminal Court C at the Temple of Justice with the hope of getting temporary freedom ahead of further legal proceedings in May risk getting re-arrested as the Government of Liberia has excepted to the validity of the bonds on grounds that the guarantor of the bond, Sky International Insurance Company lacks the financial capacity to support the bonds.
Defendants Albert Chie, Evelyn Kandakai, Fodee Kromah, Nanborlor Singbeh and Alominza Ennos Barr filed a total of US$14,551,311.00 and LRD 72,000.00 to secure temporary freedom, but on February 28 AD 2015 the Government of Liberia through its legal counsels, Cllr. Benedict F. Sannoh, Minister of Justice, Cllr. J. Daku Mulbah, County Attorney, Montserrado County and Cllr. Augustine C. Fayiah, Assistant Minister for Litigation challenged the validity of the bond praying the court to re-arrest the defendants.
