Sudan: Fire Destroys 90 Homes in Duma Village, South Darfur

Mershing Locality — A fire that broke out on Monday in the village of Duma, 40km north of Nyala, capital of South Darfur, gutted about 90 shelters. A villager told Dabanga that the fire was caused by children who were trying to cook food.

"The fire spread very fast because of the strong wind. Nearly 90 shelters and tents burned to the ground."
