Nigeria: Hoodlums Pelt Yero in Four Kaduna Towns

Kaduna — Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero's motorcade was pelted with stones by hoodlums in four major towns during campaign rallies, the chairman, Media and Publicity Committee, Yero/Bajoga Campaign Organization, Yakubu Lere, said at a news conference in Kaduna yesterday. He said Yero's campaign team was attacked by hoodlums sponsored by opposition groups in about four major towns during which three people were killed.

"Governor Yero's entourage was attacked several times at Udawa along Birnin Gwari road, Bakin Ruwa in Igabi LG, Panbeguwa in Kubau LG and Ungwan Bawa in Lere LG", he said. He also said sponsored thugs destroyed several billboards and vehicles belonging to the PDP in various locations across the state.
