In her prayer at the opening of last week's judges' conference in Entebbe, Commercial court judge Hellen Obura beseeched God to help the judiciary get a substantive chief justice.
Yesterday, that prayer was answered. In a 112-word statement, State House announced that President Museveni had approved the nomination of Justice Bart Magunda Katureebe as chief justice, ending two years of rope-pulling between the president and the Judicial Service Commission.
