Tunisia: Open Society Foundations Plans to Open Office in Tunis to Initiate Development Actions

Carthage — Chairman of the Open Society Foundations George Soros said his organisation plans to open an office in Tunis to initiate development actions and programmes, particularly after the success of the Tunisian democratic transition experience.

At his meeting Monday in the Palace of Carthage with President Beji Caid Essebsi, he said his foundation will contribute to the realisation of several development projects in Tunisia, including the restoration of culture centres, in partnership with the relevant ministry, according to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
