Sudan: Schoolgirl Injured As Sudanese Jet Strafes Nuba Mountains

Nuba Mountains — A 15-year-old schoolgirl, Saloom Habil Tiya, was injured when a Sukhoi jet fighter of the Sudanese Air Force reportedly bombed Tanase Village in Tabo County, Boram in South Kordofan/Nuba Mountains.

According to Arno Ngutulu Lodi, spokesman for the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), the attack targeted a residential area. According to Lodi's statement the Sudanese government "is continually terrorising, killing, displacing and causing hunger to the people in Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur."
