Algeria: Catch of Algeria's Bluefin Tuna Quota - 13 Ship-Owners in Contention

Algiers — Thirteen ship owners have expressed interest to participate in the 2015 Bluefin tuna fishing campaign in Algeria, which quota has been increased by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), an official to Ministry of Fisheries and Halieutic Resources told APS.

These ship owners had recently met with this ministry's officials "to consider the stake and the importance of this international fishing, especially as Algeria's quota was increased this year," said the ministry's chief of staff, Kamel Neghli.
