APPROXIMATELY 7.9 million girls and women have undergone Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the country despite laws banning the practice.
Director for Children at the Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children, Mr Benedict Misani, said this during a stakeholders' meeting organised by Children Dignity Forum (CDF) that the problem is exacerbated by lack of resolve to end the practice.
