Ethiopia: More Water

Addis Abeba got 100,000 cubic meters of water from Kality let into its throat last Sunday, May 8, 2014, an addition to the previously supplied 350cm of water a day. This number makes the available water supply of the city reach 480 with 30cm added from Dire and Gefersa dams. Although this happened, the disparity between the demand and supply of water remains at 172cm. Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn, Mayor of Addis Abeba Diriba Kuma and Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia La Yifang, inaugurate the Kality water wells that supply 70,000cm of water a day.
