Namibia: Ex-Pupkewitz Employees Jailed Over Theft

TWO former employees of hardware and building supplies dealer Pupkewitz Megabuild both received terms of direct imprisonment on a charge of theft in the Windhoek High Court yesterday.

Acting Judge Petrus Unengu sentenced Immanuel David Freitas Dias, who is a former manager of the Oshikango branch of Pupkewitz Megabuild, to an effective three years' imprisonment, while a former colleague of Dias, Edgar Cardoso Alves, received a two-year prison term.
