Liberia: One Bank in Grand Gedeh County Claims Lawmakers Attention

The plenary of the House of Representatives in a unanimous vote following a motion made by Grand Bassa County District # 1 Representative Gabriel Smith has instructed its committee on Banking and Currency to look into complaint filed by Grand Gedeh County Representative Zoe Emmanuel Pennue.

In Hon. Pennue's communication to Plenary, he claimed that as large as Grand Gedeh County is, it has only one commercial Bank (Ecobank Liberia Ltd.) with three tellers, a situation which according to him is causing the people of that county a serious transactionary problem of commercial activities.
