Cameroon: Fetus Found in River Mfoundi

A fetus of about six months was found floating in the River Mfoundi on Tuesday March 17, 2015.

The inhabitants of Mvog Atangana Mballa, Yaounde were in a state of shock yesterday March 17, 2015 as they discovered a fetus of about six months amidst rubbish floating in the River Mfoundi that flows behind the Mvog-Mbi market and other neighbourhoods in that area. Reports say it was about 5:00 p.m. when some passersby noticed the some whitish object floating in the water. They immediately realised that it was a fetus and ran into water to get it. One of the inhabitants of the area, Bikay Constantin said the fetus was floating a basin from the Mvog Atangana Mballa Bridge and due to the obstacles on the river bed the contents of the basin overturned and the foetus was carried away by the water. The fetus was brought out of the water at about 6:00 p.m. and the forces of law and order were informed immediately.
