East Africa: Secretariat to Spend U.S.$14 Million Less

Arusha — The East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, including all its associated organs, will spend $14 million less in the next financial year compared to 2014/15.

Analysts say the move signals the beginning of measures to tighten the financial controls and donor concerns. A substantial part of the budget is catered for by Development Partners led by the European Union.
