Liberia: FIBank Sets Record Straight

The First International Bank (Liberia) Limited (FIBank), wishes to clarify media reports in connection with the theft of US$300,100 at its branch in Ganta, NimbaCounty.The clarification comes against the backdrop of report in the March 18, 2015 back page edition of the Daily Observer newspaper captioned US$300K Theft at FIBank in Ganta - Again, and other papers.

According to the paper, "Less than four months after 10 employees of the First International Bank (FIBank) were charged with stealing US$1.2 million from the bank, four other employees have been arrested for reportedly stealing US$300,100, this time from the bank's branch in Ganta, Nimba County"
