Ugandans have been urged to copy from Egypt and start irrigation schemes as a measure to tackle droughts within the country's agricultural industry.
"Egypt is the leading country in irrigation in Africa. Its irrigation projects from River Nile help investors in farming. So, Ugandan farmers can't rely just on the rainfall to water their crops; they must copy from Egypt on how to use irrigation in farming to avoid losing products during dry seasons," Fred Omach, the minister of state for Finance, said.
