Liberia: CDC, NPP Concede - NEC Wants Certification of Margibi Senator

Barely three months after he was denied entry into the Capitol Building due to a writ of prohibition filed against him by his opponents, Margibi County Senator- elect Jim Tornonlah was a happy man on Thursday, when the National Elections Commission (NEC) prayed the Supreme Court to give it the green light to certificate him.

Senator elect Tornonlah was denied certification by the National Elections Commission (NEC) last January, while the Commission was certificating winners of the special senatorial election, due to a writ of prohibition filed in the Supreme Court against him by two of the defeated candidates who took part in election in that county.
