Kenya: Mutunga Warns Bungoma Residents Against Lynching Incidents

Chief justice Willy Mutunga has warned Bungoma residents against lynching criminal suspects and torching their property. Mutunga said it is an offence to kill an individual even if it can be confirmed he committed the crime.

Mutunga was speaking in Sirisia constituency during his tour of Bungoma county on Wednesday. He opened the Sirisia law courts. The CJ said there have been rising cases of mob lynching and suspects' property being burnt.
