IMENTI Central MP Gideon Mwiti remains a free man almost a week after a journalist accused him of beating her, a forcible HIV test and then rape in his office.

While a hospital report seen by the Star makes the evidence of rape ambiguous, the evidence of assault is unambiguous. Newly installed Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett pledged that it will no longer be business as usual in the Service.
