Namibia: Bidvest Cup Quarter-Finals Commence

With 129 goals scored thus far, all roads lead to the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura as the 2015 Bidvest Namibia Cup quarter-finals matches take place this weekend with two matches set for each day from 15h00.

On Saturday at 15h00, the Sam Nujoma Stadium will host defending champions and looking to make it three out of three in the Bidvest Namibia Cup, African Stars will take on North West First Division side Young Chiefs in the first quarter-final match.Stars were big winners at the last tournament, defeating Omaheke NAMPOL 11-0 while Chiefs humbled Touch & Go 2-1. The second match of the day will be at 17h00 as Eleven Arrows face Citizens FC. Citizens are the losing finalist of the 2014 edition.It has been a long time since Tigers reached the semifinals of any cup competition and with coach Bobby Samaria at the helm of the exciting squad, Tigers will seek a place in the next round as they take on UNAM in the first quarter-finals match of the day at 15h00.At 17h00, Orlando Pirates faces a traditional rival, Black Africa, in the match of the weekend at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.Said an excited Barry Rukoro, Secretary General of the NFA, "this cup is all about surprises and we have already witnessed some and come Saturday and Sunday, we are in for a treat. It is all about 90 minutes and one winner from each of the four matches and it won't be easy for any club. But you have to be there to see it for yourself and see you there indeed." The winners will advance to the semifinals which will be held on 24-26 April with the final match to be contested on 30 May in Windhoek.
