Mozambique: Cholera Epidemic Spreads to Sofala

Maputo — The Mozambican Ministry of Health has confirmed that cholera has spread to the central province of Sofala with, to date, 260 cases, but no deaths.

The figures for Sofala released at a Maputo press conference on Monday are a fortnight out of date. They are that between 1 and 14 March there were 129 cases in the Sofala district of Caia, 91 in Nhamatanda, and 40 in the provincial capital, Beira.
