First Lady Madam Gertrude Mutharika has said the sustainable empowerment of women will only be meaningfully achieved if girl child education is significantly promoted in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) member states.
Madam Mutharika made the remarks on Monday when she delivered a statement at the First Ladies Round Table Meeting under the theme "Economic Empowerment of Women: Key to Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development" in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
