Nigeria: Polls - Catholic Bishops Want 'Preventive Security' Measures

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) has urged security agencies to be on alert and prevent likely breakdown of law and order as the nation awaits the outcome of the Presidential election.

The organisation which also urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to properly investigate the failure of card readers despite all the assurances it had given, said it was worried by breaches in electoral process and advised security agencies to evolve a special security plan for Rivers State before the governorship elections.
